This is the story of how I redesigned Mallorca Collection’s website to enhance the user experience, reduce bounce rate by 8%, and increase lead conversion by 13% in a highly competitive luxury rental market.
Context
Mallorca Collection, a luxury villa rental agency, reached out to me again after a previous collaboration to redesign their website. They aimed to enhance their digital presence, increase the average value of their listings, and implement a new SEO strategy. To achieve this, they needed to relaunch their digital platform and align it with their premium positioning.
The Challenge
We identified a 65% drop in mobile retention on property pages, a 9% decrease in average browsing time, and a visual experience that no longer reflected the brand’s luxury positioning. Additionally, the site faced competitive pressure from platforms with stronger UX and storytelling, impacting conversion among high-net-worth users.
The Solution
I proposed a solution focused on elevating the premium aesthetic, optimizing the inquiry flow, and prioritizing the mobile experience. We redesigned the navigation, highlighted personalized services, and reinforced visual trust. This led to a lower bounce rate, increased time on site, and a +13% increase in lead conversion within the first year.
A modular design foundation enabling rapid deployment across multiple brands without sacrificing consistency
System
After the redesign, Mallorca Collection strengthened its luxury positioning, increased inquiries, and improved overall user engagement.
Impact
More inquiries submitted, generating more qualified leads.
Bounce rate reduced, improving retention and engagement.
Users explored more listings, increasing session depth.
One year after the redesign, Mallorca Collection’s new website showed significant improvements in acquisition, retention, and brand perception. The mobile experience was enhanced with better readability and a more prominent inquiry button, while the visual design adopted a more premium aesthetic through elegant typography, neutral colors, and high-quality photography.
Navigation was improved with curated collections, trust was reinforced through testimonials and concierge service details, and the inquiry flow was redesigned to be clearer and more accessible. These improvements led to a 13% increase in lead conversion and a 15% reduction in bounce rate.
